Patna : Hundreds of contractual para teachers in Bihar staged a protest against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at a public meeting in the state Sunday, police said.
The para teachers were demanding parity in salaries and allowances with regular teachers.
Some of them even showed their sandals to the chief minister in Madhubani during his ongoing Adhikar Yatra (Rights March), police said.
Raising posters and placards and shouting slogans, the para teachers created a ruckus at the public meeting for the fourth consecutive day.
Para teachers had earlier protested against Nitish Kumar in East Champaran, Sitamarhi and Muzaffarpur districts.
The chief minister, however, blamed opposition parties for instigating the para teachers.
