Pallekele (Sri Lanka): England beat New Zealand by six wickets in a World Twenty20 Super Eight tie at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium here Saturday.
England chased down New Zealand’s 148/6 with seven balls to spare, with Luke Wright scoring 76 of 43 balls.
In the Kiwi innings, English pacer Steven Finn finished with 3-16 in his four overs while James Franklin (50) was the only batsman to hit a half-century.
