Sultry Tuesday in Delhi

    New Delhi: It was a sunny, sultry morning in the capital Tuesday, with the minimum temperature recorded at 27.6 degree Celsius, two notches above the seasons’ average. The Met office has forecast rain in some parts of the city.

    “There will be rain and thundershowers in some parts of the city Tuesday,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

    The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 36 degree Celsius.

    Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 69 percent.

    Since the arrival of the monsoon, the city has recorded 762.6 mm of rainfall, 51 percent above average.

    Monday’s maximum temperature was recorded three notches above the seasons’ average at 36.7 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.1 degree Celsius, average for this time of the year.
