Aijaz was a student of polytechnic engineering first year. No one in his family in their wild imaginations thought their son’s life would end in such a horrific way. He became the youngest victim of Hyderabad blasts which till now has taken 14 lives, and injured more than hundred people.

Iqbal Ahmed, Aijaz’s father collapsed every time he saw his son half blown body lying at Osmanai General Hospital. In tears, he couldn’t understand why his son was killed who has nothing to do with anyone. Aijaz’s body was the first to have autopsy by the doctors, and later handed to the family.

Aijaz used to change three buses to reach his home at Ali Café Amberpet as his polytechnic college was located in outskirts of the city. Dilsukhnagar bus stop was the final stop before reaching his home, located just 3 km away from the blast spot.

Aijaz was the eldest among two children of Iqbal Ahmed and Noorjahan. Aijaz’s mother, Noorjahan was happy at that day as she had won prize in Quran recitation competition for women. She had brought sweets for her family but in the evening she got perhaps the most unfortunate news of her life.

Huge crowd of relatives and neighbors surrounded Aijaz’s house after his body was brought home. Aijaz’s funeral prayers were performed at Jama Masjid Azad Nagar today afternoon after Friday prayers.
