Mirza Abdul Wasey was being treated at Yashoda Hospital for the injuries he received in his waist and back. Doctors said his condition was stable.

His father Mirza Shahid Moghal said his son had sustained grevious injuries in the blast at Mecca Masjid on May 17, 2007.

A resident of Kalapatthar area in the old city of Hyderabad, Wasey was selling garments in Dilsukhnagar area when the blast occurred Thursday evening.

Wasey was a college student when he sustained injuries on his neck and legs in Mecca Masjid blast, which killed nine people.

Some policemen Friday gathered information from Wasey and his family members at the hospital, which left to speculations by some television channels that the police were probing into his possible involvement.

The family rubbished the allegations. Moghal said it was a sheer bad luck that his son was injured twice in the blasts.

Director General of Police V. Dinesh Reddy also advised media not indulge in speculations as they would be doing disservice to the investigations.
