Shillong: Unidentified militants lobbed a grenade at a tax department office in western Meghalaya Tuesday evening, police said. There were no casualties.
The militants tossed the grenade at taxation office in Dainadubi area under North Garo Hills district, bordering Assam’s Goalpara district, a police official said.
“There were no casualties and investigation is on to identify the attackers,” said Ricky Dkhar, the district police chief of North Garo Hills.
Police have launched a manhunt to nab the attackers.
