London: Council of Indian Muslims—UK (CIM) mark ed nthe11th anniversary of Gujarat Genocide 2002 by remembering all those who lost their lives on this day and by pledging to support the crusaders who are fighting to get justice to the victims of fascism.
“I have been in Gujarat for the last two weeks and have seen with my own eyes the cost of much hyped progress and the price of it that Muslims are being made to pay: virtual terror, suffocation and fear not to utter a word against Modi, despite the fact that 11 years on, more than 50,000 victims of Modi’s brazen fascism are still living in miserable conditions” CIM’s Chairman Munaf Zeena said in a statement from Bardoli, Gujarat, today.
Zeena paid special tribute to Teesta Setalvad, Harsh Mandar, Sanjiv Bhatt and all those who have shown extra ordinary steadfastness in keeping the fight for justice alive.“ Zeena called them as “shining examples of human courage, sacrifice.”
