Aligarh: “Uttar Pradesh government is trying to save the skin of murderers and conspirators of DSP Ziaul Haq and that is not good for the political health of Samajwadi Party,” warned Prof. Humayun Murad while addressing a meeting of Forum for Muslim Studies & Analysis (FMSA), Aligarh.
He also demanded that the main conspirator Raghuraj Pratap Singh named in the FIR should be arrested immediately.
Jasim Mohammad, secretary of FMSA, said that UP government is ignoring the fact that Zaiul Haq was investigating Pratapgarh Riots of 20 June, 2012 and he had identified 140 accused. He was under pressure to remove some names. It is the burning question why the fact is being over looking?
A resolution was passed at the end of the meeting demanding that killers of Ziaul Haq, including Raja Bhaiya should be arrested immediately and CBI inquiry must be completed within a stipulated time frame.
FMSA also warned that if Akhilesh government continues shielding murderers of Ziaul Haq and failed to punish the accused of different riots then FMSA will launch a state level agitation against it.
