New Delhi: An organization of non-resident Indians, NRI for Secular and Harmonious India (NRI SAHI) has sent a letter to the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav demanding action against Barabanki lawyers who were involved in attacks against Khalid Mujahid lawyers.
The letter asks Mr. Yadav to take strongest legal action against the lawyers who took part in the attack on Advocate Mohammad Saleem on May 21st. The mob also ransacked chambers of Advocate Shakilur Rehman,Jamal Ahmed and Nadeem Ahmed.
The letter also asks the government to take action against Faizabad Bar Association for preventing lawyers for representing cases of Muslims accused of terrorism.
The letter was signed by Shrikumar Poddar, George Abraham, Shaheen Khateeb, and Mohammad Imran.
