Rihai Manch also lambasted at the report submitted by the Samajwadi party delegation after visiting Muzaffarnagar and adjoining areas, which claims that madrasas out of their self-interest are thwarting attempts to repatriate the refugees to their villages.

General Secretary of Awami Council for Peace and Democracy, Asad Hayat, while speaking to media persons, said that the report submitted by ministers in the UP Government are nothing but “pack of lies.” He alleged that the delegation hardly visited any relief camps or talked to victims, and that they were busy dining in Muzaffarnagr town and made a report without any basis.

Pointing to the insensitive nature and failure of the government, he said that if those camps had not come up in madrasas, 60000 odd people would have been forced to live on road.

Chairman of Rihai Manch, Advocate Mohammad Shoaib said that the SP government is trying to malign those madrasas in an attempt to hide truths about real situations on ground. He said that the riot victims are terrorized and feel threatened to go back to same village and live with the Jat community, who ransacked and arsoned their housed, raped and murdered them.

Spokesperson of Rihai Manch, Rajeev Yadav, who visited the riot affected areas, has accused the minister in the UP government Virendra Singh, also a member of the delegation, of trying to influence the police officers to help accused persons in Bagpat.
