AMU scholar to received DAAD fellowship

    Aligarh: Sana Khan, a PhD student, Department of Agricultural Microbiology at the Aligarh Muslim University has been selected by the prestigious Deutscher Akademischer Austriusch Dienst (DAAD) award of Germany to carry out advanced research at the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg, Germany.

    Ms. Sana will work on “Molecular analysis of bacteria from textile industry effluents and contaminated soils” from October 1, 2013 to January 31, 2014 in the lab of Professor Elisabeth Grohmann. Ms. Sana Khan is doing her research work under the supervision of Dr. Abdul Malik, presently visiting Scientist at Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg, Germany.

    She got an opportunity of learning advance techniques with the help of bet Scientists in the field of Microbiology and Molecular Biology, which will consequently help in her doctoral thesis.

    The University of Freiburg is one of the Europe’s most prestigious universities. Nineteen Nobel laureates are associated with this distinguished seat of learning.
