Hyderabad: Renowned scholar and intellectual Moulana Syed Salman Hussain Nadvi, Dean of Nadwat-ul-Ulema (Lucknow) inaugurated the ‘Anwar unnisa Memorial Auditorium’ at Azaan International School, Tolichowki. The auditorium has been christened after the name of Hyderabad’s renowned personality Dr. Anwar un Nisa.
After the inauguration ceremony, the Huffaz (memorisers of Holy Quran) students of Azaan International School were honoured by Moulana Nadvi who donned them with Turbans to ceremonially mark the completion of their memorization of Holy Quran. This was followed by the formal inauguration of school’s official website www.azaanschool.com and National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) – the largest open schooling system in the world.
Dr. Nayyar Iqbal, Azaan International School Principal who apprised the gathering about NIOS. He said that with NIOS students will have flexibility in choosing the subjects and skill development courses of their interest. He said that NIOS provides quality school education through vocational, life enrichment and community oriented courses besides general and academic courses at secondary and Senior Secondary level. There are no age or community restraints for students to enrol into NIOS, he added.
Dr. Yusuf Azam, Chairman – Anwar Charitable Trust & Azaan International School presented his keynote address on this occasion. The event was attended by a large number of Islamic scholars and students.
