L-R: Ambassador of Palestine His Excellency Adli Shaban Hasan Sadeq, Mr Syed Vicaruddin, Chairman – Indo-Arab League Hyderabad, Dr Mazim Al-Masoudi, In-charge – League of Arab States Mission.
While addressing a Press Conference on Sunday in the homeland of Indo-Arab League Hyderabad, the Ambassador said that about 1800 citizens mostly including innocent children and women succumbed to ruthless bombings even as certain parts of the world watched phlegmatically. He was however quick in lauding India and Saudi Arabia for supporting the humanitarian cause for the state’s freedom.
The envoy also thanked Saudi Arabia and UAE for supporting the cause of Palestinian peace while recollecting that Saudi Arabia has always supported Palestinian cause.
He also strongly dismissed the allegations of some sections of society that Saudi Arabia and UAE are funding Israel to eliminate Hamas while recollecting that Saudi Arabia has always been a benevolent supporter including King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia who donated generously for the bereaved people of the Palestine.
The conference aimed at conveying the truth about the turbulent situation in Gaza, Palestine and the seemingly endless state of Palestinian suffering due to violence, aggression and hostility exerted by the Israelis, leading to barbaric killings of innocent Palestinian citizens.
Dr Mazim Al-Masoudi called on the Indian government to stand out and take good position to the Palestinian cause while lauding the efforts of Indian politicos who favourably took up the issue of Palestine in the Parliament of India. He said that India has, since long, remained a strong supporter of Palestine while expressing hopes to see continued solidarity with the Palestine for the humanitarian cause.
The Ambassador of Palestine said, “Israel must end its criminal warfare. Palestine is ready to establish a progressive relationship with Israel if it agrees to peaceful coexistence with Jerusalem as the capital of the Palestine.” He also urged India to play an even bigger role in bringing peace to Palestine by proactively voicing against the injustice.
On this occasion, Mr Syed Vicaruddin – Chairman, Indo-Arab League Hyderabad presented a cheque of Rs 2.5 million to the Ambassador of Palestine on behalf of Indo-Arab League Hyderabad as financial aid to purchase clothes, blankets, medicines and essential commodities for the suffering Palestinians in the relief camps in Gaza and assured him of continued cooperation in the future for the cause of Palestine.
Mr Vicaruddin said the issue of Palestinian suffering was above the divides of religion, creed and nationality. He said supporting the cause of Palestine is a humanitarian effort that every Indian must exercise and called on them to voice their protest against the killings of young children, innocent men and women by Israel while expressing solidarity with Palestine. He said that a peaceful state of Palestine is a prerogative of its citizens, which Israel is trying to take away, by brutality of its force and illegal occupancy.
Mr Vicaruddin said a high-level meeting involving heads of Arab countries, and Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas will also be organized by Indo Arab League Hyderabad later this year.
Many Muslims have boycotted Israeli products in Ramadan this year to protest against the war mongers, he added.
The gathering including media men also observed 2-minute silence to offer condolences to nearly 1800 Palestinians, mostly women and children, who were killed by Israeli attacks. The Ambassador’s grandson also died in Israeli attacks two days ago.
Arab League has been strongly supporting the cause of Palestinian freedom since the first conflicts between Israel and Palestine about 4 decades ago.
