Kabul: A NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) soldier was killed Tuesday in an attack in eastern Afghanistan.
The ISAF neither provided the nationality of the victim nor the details about the incident, Xinhua reported.
Nearly 50,000 NATO-led ISAF troops are stationed in Afghanistan.
Some 32,800 of them are Americans and the US plans to trim its forces to less than 10,000 by next year.
About 56 NATO soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan so far this year.
