A week ago, 13 year old Arham Hussain, a Class VIII student and only son of Mohammad Samir from the fairly ‘posh’ locality of Jauhari Farm in Jamia Nagar had gone for regular hair cut to the nearby salon. On Saturday, family had received a ransom call and when the police located the number, they reached the salon. After investigation and questioning the barbers at the salon, the police found the decomposed body of the boy in a metal trunk in the shop on Sunday. The young boy was strangulated to death and later acid was poured on his body for decomposition.

The police immediately arrested one barber and are further investigating the case. They have also sent a team to Amroha to track down other suspects in the case, the salon owners, Rizwan and Riyaz.

However, angry residents blamed the police for laxity and brought out a candle vigil on Friday evening demanding justice for the boy and speedy actions.
