People from Marhote told Choudhary how no one from the administration or leadership visited them despite the fact that more than 20 houses were completely demolished in the flood. The Youth Congress leader assured the victims that he will strive to get adequate compensation for their losses of agricultural land, crops and houses.

Later, he distributed relief material among the flood affected people. They demanded exemption from electricity charges for the time when there was no electricity for a whole month. They also demanded establishment of a relief camp for them similar to the ones established at Potha and Sanai in Surankote.

The Congress leader also visited the government high school building at Marhote. The school administration told him that the new building was not handed over to them because it lacked several facilities including toilet, playground, protection & compound wall etc, which was a loss for the students.
