Two member committee to inquire into AMU firing at students’ union building​

Aligarh: Lt Gen Zameer Uddin Shah, the vice chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has instituted a two-member inquiry committee following the incidence of firing at the students’ union building.

The members of the inquiry committee have been asked to submit their findings by April 20

​. The​se​ membe​rs are Pro​fessor ​Najam Khalique of Community Medicine and Prof​essor ​Khalid Azam, Department of Business Administration​, a release said.​

The University has suspended ​one ​research ​scholar of ​law with immediate effect from the rolls of the University pending inquiry. The university campus and its maintained institutions are also placed out of bound for him​, the release said.
