New Delhi: The Residential Coaching Academy (Centre for Coaching and Career Planning) at Jamia Millia Islamia invites application for an intake capacity of 200 candidates (150 boys and 50 girls) for Free Coaching (with hostel facility) from those belonging to the categories of Minorities, SCs., STs. and Women who are desirous of appearing in Civil Services (Preliminary-cum-Mains) – 2016.

It may be noted that 19 candidates who coached in the Residential Coaching Academy of JMI were selected for country’s most coveted Civil Services-2014 and some of them bagged top positions in the merit list.
The selection of the candidates for Free Coaching will be held through a Written Test that would comprise General Studies (objective type) on UPSC model and Essay Writing in English/Hindi/Urdu to test the candidate’s ability to express themselves in an organized and structured manner. The duration of the test will be of two hours.
The Application Form may be downloaded from Jamia’s website www.jmi.ac.in only. The duly filled in Application Form and a fee of Rs.500/- through Bank Draft or IPO only in favour of “Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi-110025” payable at New Delhi may be submitted in the office of the Centre for Coaching and Career Planning, JMI or through post, with a self-addressed envelope with postal stamp of Rs.40/-. No cash will be accepted. The last date for submission of Application Form is September 9, 2015 and the Written Test will be held on September 20, 2015 in Jamia Millia Islamia and University of Kashmir, Srinagar.
Scholarship to 20% admitted students @ 2000/- per month will be provided on means-cum-merit-basis. The centre also offers Library Facilities (24×7). Coaching will include (a) General Studies (CSAT) and selected Optional Papers in History, Public Administration, Geography, Sociology, and Urdu, (b) Test Series and Evaluation shall be carried out by faculty members of Jamia and professional faculties and (c) Essay Writing practice shall form part of the curriculum.
