Hyderabad: City based Indo-US Hospital run by Indian Muslim Relief and Charities (IMRC) put up a medical camp at the venue of three days long Ijtema (conference) of Tableeghi Jamaat held in the City of Nizams between November 20 and 23.
The medical camp functioned for four days round the clock, providing free services and medicines to the devotees. In four days, a total of 2516 patients were attended to during the four days of the Ijtema.
Besides doctors attending the patients, there were arrangements for pathological tests, oxygen support, ambulance, etc. All the medicines and tests available at the venue were served without any cost from patients. Indo-US Multi-specialty Hospital is run by US based IMRC in collaboration with its city based sister organisation Sahayata Trust.
Indian Muslim Relief & Charities (IMRC) is a US based non-profit organization which began in 1981 and helps run several programmes throughout the country in partnership with over 100 organizations. It focuses on providing education, emergency relief, medical & legal aid, shelter and food for the needy. IMRC has been at the forefront of providing immediate relief to affected victims of the Chennai flood, 2015 Nepal earthquake, 2014 Kashmir Floods, 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots, 2012 Assam riots, and other natural/man-made calamities.
