Jammu : The Indian Army Saturday said it has given free medical care to over 400 people in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district.
Army spokesman Col Manish Mehta told IANS here: “Dharmendra village in Ramban District has limited access to quality health care and professional medical advice.
“Dharmund-based Field Hospital organised a free medical and dental camp to address health issues of the villagers.”
A total of 463 people, including 99 children, benefited from the medical camp.
“Worm infestation is a common disease in this area that is why deworming of all the children below 15 years of age was done and benefits of good hygiene were advised,” said Mehta.
