Islamabad: At least 20 people were killed and 40 others injured in a road accident in Pakistan’s Tarnol town on Wednesday, media reported.
The accident occurred when two speeding passenger vans collided on Fatahjhang Road near Tarnol area in Islamabad, Dawn reported.
Rescue teams and volunteers shifted the injured to District Headquarters Hospital in Rawalpindi and Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences in Islamabad.
The toll was expected to rise as the condition of several of those injured was critical.
