Kozhikode: Announcement of various projects, contemplation about current issues and passing of resolutions marked the valedictory function of 60th anniversary conference of Sunni Yuvajana Sangam (SYS), which came to an end at Tajul Ulema Nagar, Kottakkal, Malappuram district of Kerala on Sunday.
General Secretary of all India Sunni Jameyyathul Ulema Kanthapuram AP Aboobacker Musliyar inaugurated the conference. KP Hamza Musliyar Chithari, E. Sulaiman Musliyar, Sayyid Ibrahimiul Khaleelul Bukhari, Vice chairman of Karnataka planning board of CM Ibrahim, Ponmala Abdul Qader Musliyar, Perode Abdurahiman Saqafi, NV Abdurahiman Saqafi, Abdurahiman Faizee Vandoor and Majeed Kakkad delivered the speech in the function. Sulthan Muhammad Al Shahi and Sheikh Mahmood Kareeshan were chief guests of the valedictory conference.

Kanthapuram also announced ten years of SYS working plan having several wide-ranging initiatives like formulating an association namely ‘Muslim Jama-ath’ intended for the common people, starting a national newspaper, building hostels across the country, constructing hospitals and primary Islamic schools (madrassas) and improving the functioning of Indian Islamic University (Jamiyathul hind Al Islamiyya, which is in primary stage) and initiating the non-interest Islamic borrowing system.
The association aims nationwide programmes to organize differently abled people, blind and deaf, employees, business men, fishermen and farmers. It also proposes bringing educational institution into uniformity in terms of functioning, syllabus and so on. Empowering the Islamic activities in campuses, reforming the syllabus of Islamic primary schools, the structure of spiritual gatherings and religious public speech would be prime goals among them.
Apart from conferences of selected delegates there were many remarkable conferences such as professional and campus summit, conferences of business men, of diaspora, of farmers, which addressed people from all walks of life.
