The appointment of Public relations officer in AMU has been put on hold after TCN reported about alleged illegalities in the selection process.
As per rules, the notification for the appointment was scheduled to come on Sunday, fifteen days after the interview. But the notification has not been released.
According to sources, the Vice Chancellor has put in hold the result of the selection of PRO.
Earlier, TCN reported about the alleged rigging in the process of the selection of PRO. TCN had confirmed information about the non eligibility and suspicious degree of a candidate who was likely to be appointed. The said candidate had no experience or degree in media and his MBA degree was also from a Sikkim based suspicious university.
However, the university has not clarified if there will be any enquiry into how this candidate was shortlisted for the test and interview.
The source privy to the documents said, “The university has put on hold the selection. This in itself shows there were problems in the selection process. But it is not yet clear if a fresh advertisement will be released or not.”
