Delhi government insensitive towards people: BJP

New Delhi : The BJP on Monday slammed the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government for failing to file an affidavit naming the officials not cooperating in the efforts to contain Chikungunya and Dengue viruses.

“The insensitivity and lies of this government stand exposed,” Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit chief Satish Upadhyay told IANS.

“The Kejriwal government is trying to befool the court with same tricks of lies to evade responsibility with which it fools the common man,” Upadhyay added.

The BJP leader’s remarks came after the apex court imposed a cost of Rs 25,000 on Delhi government Health Minister Satyendra Jain for failing to file the affidavit.

Upadhyay also said that the Supreme Court had last week also asked the Kejriwal government to file an affidavit listing the names of the officials and agencies not cooperating in ensuring relief to people.

Warning the Chief Minister, who is also the AAP Convenor, Upadhyay said, “The Kejriwal government is insensitive towards people and soon it will pay a heavy political price for the lies in the ensuing civic elections.”
