The region of Jammu was gripped in violence and arson following the terror attack in Pulwama on February 14 with many people using the dastardly attacks as a reason to damage property and worse, attack Kashmiris living in the region. Between February 14 and 19, the region was under curfew and many Kashmiri residents complained of harassment, intimidation and abuse.
However, amid all this, the good nature of Jammu residents emerged with shining colours as many locals set up food and tea stalls to help the Kashmiris who were left stranded in the region. The locals came together to provide them with food and shelter until curfew was relaxed in some parts of Jammu. Although tense, the situation remains in control in Jammu.
