Rahul Gandhi all set to visit UAE to woo NRIs

Indian National Congress (INC) president Rahul Gandhi will be visiting Dubai on 11th of January 2019 to address the Indian Diaspora there at a public meeting at the Dubai Cricket Stadium at 4.30.

After the successful stint in the recently held elections in 5 states of India in which the INC has emerged winner in three states, the confidence and morale of the young Gandhi has increased in leaps and bounds. And now he is ready to meet the NRIs in United Arab Emirates.

The public meeting is scheduled for two days 11th January in Dubai and 12th January in Abu Dhabi.

The event is being organized by Indian overseas congress. Himanshu Vyas, the secretary is expecting a huge turnout.  Going by the hoardings that have called Rahul Gandhi “Hindustan ki Umeed”, it is evident that Indians living abroad have a lot of expectations from Rahul Gandhi who is seen as the new face of secular India.

With General Elections slated in April-May, this move by Rahul Gandhi is seen as a step ahead in forging relations with Indians settled abroad and garner support for INC. He is likely to meet business heads in the UAE.

In a short promo-clip released by the Indian Overseas Congress, Indians from different states are seen expressing their eagerness and enthusiasm to welcome Mr Gandhi and hear him talk.

The event is named “Gandhi 150 years: The idea of India” and is expected to draw more than 50000 people to the meeting.

The event has drawn huge interest from Diaspora.

The entry is free for one and all but you to need to register in order to gain entry.

Preparations are in full swing for the big event and the organizers are on their toes with only 3 days to go.
