Gaza : The Hamas movement has expressed hope to see a change in US policy regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict, after the announcement of Barak Obama as president-elect of the United States.
The movement’s spokesman in Gaza, Sami Abu Zuhri said Wednesday the movement would wait and see what actions Obama takes before passing judgment, and also noted it had not perceived a difference on this issue in the Obama agenda against that of his rival, John McCain.
“The movement urges the new leadership to reconsider the US foreign policy and to abandon the double standards previously adopted on Arab-Israeli issues, ” he said.
