“We have got an official intimation from the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) that Reg is coming here Monday for the security check. We will assist him in the inspection and will also take him to the hotel Taj in Chandigarh where both the teams will stay,” G.S. Walia, joint secretary of the PCA, told IANS.

The PCA stadium is the venue for the second match of the two-Test series between India and England.

Meanwhile, the police here have also made foolproof security arrangements to convince the visiting security advisor.

“Besides a three-tier security system, CCTV cameras have been installed at various locations of the stadium and our intelligence officials are roaming in the vicinity to keep an eye on any anti-social element,” Jatinder Singh Aulakh, Senior Superintendent of Police, told IANS.

Dickason visited M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai Wednesday, which would hold the first Test between England and India from Dec 11. He is satisfied over the security arrangements there.

With only a fortnight to go before the match at the PCA Stadium, , chief curator Daljit Singh said, “We are working hard to prepare the pitch. With the change of season as the day’s temperature has fallen in this region drastically, it won’t be possible to predict the nature of the pitch.”
