New Delhi : Two National Security Guard (NSG) commandos who were injured in the anti-terror operations in Mumbai have been admitted to the Army Research and Referral Hospital hospital here, authorities said Saturday.
Though hospital authorities declined to give details including their identities, officials said that one has suffered serious shrapnel injuries and the other has suffered moderate burn injuries.
“While one commando is in the burn ward, the other is in the plastic surgery department. One has suffered glass cuts on his wrists,” said a source in the hospital.
“They are recuperating and responding well to the medication,” the source told IANS and added that a team of doctors is closely observing their condition.
Ten terrorists held Mumbai hostage for nearly 60 hours from Nov 26, killing 172 people at different locations including two luxury hotels – The Taj Mahal Palace and the Oberoi Trident.
Mumbai police and commandos killed nine terrorists and captured one alive. Two commandos were killed in the operation.
