Hyderabad airport gets a new arrival lounge

Hyderabad : Plaza Premium Lounge, a global lounge management company, launched its first arrival lounge with spas in India at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad near here Friday.

“The new lounge, developed in response to customers’ growing needs for airport facilities, is aimed at offering passengers with a convenient place to unwind and freshen up in comfortable environs,” said a statement from GMR Hyderabad International Airport (GHIAL), which operates the airport.

The facilities at the lounge include 28 spa rooms with nap and shower facility, a business centre, self-service buffet counters and drinks bar, guest services and massage services.

“The synergies brought by us would be second-to-none and contribute to the enhancement of the user-friendliness and reputation of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport,” said Song Hoi See, Plaza Premium Lounge chief e.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, Plaza Premium Lounge operates 30 airport lounges at 11 international airports.

“Lounges uplift the elegant environment in an airport, as they provide a comfortable place for a passenger to relax before or after a flight,” said A. Viswanath, chief commercial officer at GHIAL.

“The lounge introduces for the first time in India the concept of attracting the walk-in passenger to use facilities during transit or while arriving or departing”, he said.
