The nod has been given to the Pitampura-Dhar-Mhow industrial region that will see the mushrooming of industrial areas, knowledge hubs, IT parks, agro-processing zones and infrastructure, an official statement said Sunday.

The project proposes to leverage the rail connectivity offered by the Delhi-Mumbai dedicated rail freight corridor and the nationwide road connectivity under the national highway programme, the statement added.

“After completion of the project, youth in all states including Madhya Pradesh will benefit from the doubling of the employment potential, tripling of industrial output and quadrupling of exports in five years,” Kamal Nath said.

“The state of Madhya Pradesh would join other frontline states in developing the state-of-the-art industrial infrastructure and investment,” said the minister who represents the Chhindwara constituency of Madhya Pradesh in the Lok Sabha.
