Maulana Azad Urdu University brings out a book on Sachar report

Patna: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) of Hyderabad has brought out a book on Sachar Committee report, highlighting its important recommendations and offering solutions to the problems of the Muslim community. The book Sachar Committee Report aur Musalmano ke Masaael (Sachar Committee Report and Problems of Muslims), written by Mohammad Mustafa Ali Sarwari, associate professor at MANUU, was released in Hyderabad on December 14.

“It is incorrect that Muslims have not been able to convey to government about their backwardness. On the contrary, government has failed to ensure the development of Muslims” said Professor Ahmadullah Khan, former Dean, Faculty of Law at Osmania University, Hyderabad.

He was speaking at the book release function held at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in Hyderabad. The book named ‘Sachar Committee Report aur Musalmano ke Masaael’ (Sachar Committee Report and Problems of Muslims) has been written by Mohammad Mustafa Ali Sarwari, the associate professor at Faculty of Mass Communication and Journalism at MANUU. The book highlights the important points of Sachar repot and suggests ways to address the problems of Muslim community.

“It is sorrowful matter that Muslims are unaware of the recommendations made by Sachar Committee because they did not go through the report. This book is enough to know important points of the report. Therefore, every one should read this book” added professor Ahmadullah.

In his presidential speech famous journalist Mujtaba Husain said: “Apart from demanding government to act for their welfare, Muslims should also make all efforts for development of their community.”

Appreciating Mr. Mustafa Ali Sarwari for writing the book on the issue, he said that the author always selects such burning and community related topics to write a book.

“MANUU is trying to work for improvement of Muslims in both social and academic field and this book is part of that series” said Dr. Shuja’t Ali Rashid, director of Centre for Language, Literature and Culture at MANUU.

Professor S.A. Wahhab Qaisar of MANUU said that the main purpose behind establishment of the University was to check the educational backwardness of Muslim community and the University has done a lot in this regard within a short period.
