Berlin : A group of international anti-Zionist rabbis lambasted Zionists for instrumentalizing the Nazi killings of Jews for their own political agenda.
Addressing a news conference in Berlin on Wednesday, the four-member religious
delegation harshly criticized Zionists for misusing what is called the “Holocaust
Memorial Day” in Germany.
British Rabbi Ahron Cohen said Zionists were taking advantage of the Memorial Day “to propagate support for their state.”
He accused Zionists of “manipulating” the Nazi murder of Jews for their own interests.
Cohen’s remarks were echoed by Rabbi David Weiss who pointed to Zionist complicity with Nazism, saying Zionists were even ready to sacrifice Jews during the reign of the Nazi terror regime to serve their political goals.
He charged Zionists with “hijacking Jewish identity” to promote their political identity.
“Zionists are using Jewish identity to brand anyone anti-Semitic who opposes Zionism.”
Meanwhile, Rabbi Reuven Cabelmann said that several Jewish religious leaders who were killed in the Nazi death camps, viewed the the mass murder of Jews as “God’s punishment for supporting Zionism.”
Referring to the current visit of the president of the Zionist regime, Shimon Peres in
Germany, Cabelmann stressed that Peres did not represent Jews around the world.
“He has the gall to say he is representing Zionism in the name of world Jewry, not only those Jews who are still alive but also those Jews who died in World War II,” the rabbi said.
Cabelmann made clear that Peres had no longer any links with Jewry because he turned his back on basic Jewish teachings.
The anti-Zionist rabbi called for the need of an “authentic Jewish voice capable of
presenting the Jewish tradition.”
Cabelmann reiterated Zionism had “nothing to do with the Jewish religion.”
