Soren government to present its first budget March 5

Ranchi : The Shibu Soren government in Jharkhand will present its first budget March 5, it was announced Wednesday.

“The Jharkhand assembly session has been convened Feb 26 and it will conclude March 27. The government will present 2010-2011 budget in the house March 5,” Cabinet Secretary Aditya Swaroop told reporters here.

This will be the first budget of the Soren government. Soren became chief minister a third time but his government earlier never got a chance to present the budget.

The budget will be presented by Deputy Chief Minister Raghubar Das, who holds the finance portfolio.

The 2009-2010 budget was cleared by parliament as Jharkhand was under president’s rule Jan 19 to Dec 30 last year.
