Dhumal said a communication in this regard was received from the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.

The hill state was at number three position in implementation of the programme in 2008-2009.

The state has spent Rs.40 crore from its own exchequer under this programme to provide an additional daily wage of Rs.10,” Dhumal said.

Under this programme, Himachal’s achievement is four points more than Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu (96 percent) and six points (94 percent) than Gujarat.
