ISLAMABAD, OCT 6, SPA — Top Pakistani and Iranian officials meet in Islamabad on October 15 to discuss the Iran-Pakistan-India (IPI) gas pipeline project, officials said.
The Iranian officials are certain to reach Islamabad for talks to finalize the project but the attendance of Indian representatives is still unconfirmed.
Pakistani and Iranian experts discussed the project last month in Tehran. They talked about tariffs and other issues and agreed to hold further talks before signing an agreement.
Iran has desired to finalize the multi-billion dollar gas pipeline deal with Pakistan alone if India does not participate.
