Amsterdam : PSV Eindhoven cruised to a 3-0 win over Willem II Tilburg thanks to a Danny Koevermans double to leapfrog Dutch Eredivisie football league leaders Ajax Amsterdam, reports Xinhua.
Koevermans scored midway through the first half Saturday after being set up by Danko Lazovic and got a second goal on the stroke of half time from a cross by Jefferson Farfan, who curled a free kick around the wall 13 minutes from time for PSV’s third.
PSV are top of the league table with 17 points after seven matches, one more then Ajax who travel to Sparta Rotterdam. Feyenoord, who visit Vitesse Arnhem, are third with 15 points.
Victor Sikora struck after four minutes to earn NAC Breda a 1-0 home win against Graafschap Doetinchem as they climbed to the fourth position with 13 points.
Late goals from Sebastian Steur and Johan Voskamp inspired bottom side Excelsior Rotterdam to a 2-0 win over visiting NEC Nijmegen and their first win of the season.
Friday, Utrecht beat VVV Venlo 2-1 with Kevin Vandenbergh getting the winner with his first goal for the club.
