On Saturday when the Board came up with its decision, he categorically made it clear that he will keep on trying for an amicable and out of court settlement in the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmbhoomi dispute.

He respects and is bound by the AIMPLB’s decision though, he added in the same breath.

Saying that the best decision is the decision of brotherhood, Ansari said that those who want to move to the apex court are free to do so, but he will continue with his efforts of negotiation.

On the other hand the Board had already declared that it has not authorized Ansari to negotiate with the Hindu groups in this case.
