Mumbai : A benchmark index of Indian equities Thursday rallied 362 points, snapping a two-day losing streak.
The 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 19,951.34 points, closed at 20,234.4 points (provisional), up 362.25 points or 1.82 percent, from its previous close at 19,872.15 points.
At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the 50-share S&P CNX Nifty ended at 6,092.05 points, up 1.84 percent.
Broader markets also closed in the green. The BSE midcap index ended 1.36 percent higher, while the BSE smallcap index moved up 1.05 percent.
