Kochi: The Forum for Faith and Fraternity (FFF) has announced the winners of its awards instituted for Islamic publications in Malayalam. The winners are Muhammed Noorudheen Moulvi, KC Saleem, Dr Abdulla Manima, Prof P Abdulla, KT Anwar Sadath and Hamza Rahmani.
Pullampara Shamsudheen, T Muhammed Velom, AK Abdul Majeed, AI Abdul Majeed Salahi, C Muhammed Saleem Sullami and KT Saidalavi will also be presented awards. Articles published in the publications of different Muslim organizations such as Risala, Vichinthanam, Shabab, Santhushta Kudumbam, Prabodhanam, Annaseem and Al-Busthan were considered for the award.
The jury for the selection of awardees comprised of editors of publications such as Prof Bahauddin Kuriyad (Santhushta Kudumbam), TK Ali Ashraf (Risala), EKM Pannur (Vichinthanam), Mujeebrahman Kinalur (Shabab), Mylappur SHoukathali Moulvi (Annaseem), A Kamarudheen Moulvi (Al-Busthan) and TK Ubaid (Prabodhanam).
The Fraternity Award was instituted by the Kochi-based Forum for Faith and Fraternity with the aim of improving the quality of Islamic publications in Malayalam. The award comprises of Rs 10,000 and certificate for the best work in each publication. The awards will be distributed by ET Muhammed Basheer, MP, at the function held at the MSS Hall, Kozhikode, on January 8, 2011.
