New Delhi : Delhiites woke up to a biting cold Wednesday morning as the minimum temperature dipped three notches below average at 4.2 degrees Celsius. The weather office has predicted cold winds throughout the day.
“There was shallow fog in the morning but the skies are expected to remain clear during the day. The chill in the air will continue in the coming days and the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 14 degrees,” an official of the India Meteorological Department said.
According to the met office, cold winds will blow throughout the day, keeping the temperatures below average.
At the same time, the winds have caused the fog cover to remain thin, the weatherman pointed out.
The maximum humidity was recorded at 88 percent.
Tuesday’s minimum temperature was 3.7 degrees Celsius, four degrees below average for this time of the season.
