New Delhi: The Human Welfare Trust has distributed Iftar kit among more than 11,000 poor Muslim families in 14 states like Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Haryana and Delhi till17th August 2011.
Each kit, given under the Trust’s Vision 2016 program, consists of ingredients enough for an average family for the whole month of Ramazan.
Salimullah Khan, National Co-ordinator of Vision 2016 said that the Trust had distributed 9,000 Iftar Kits among poor Muslim families in last Ramazan also. Ingredients in Iftar kit are for one month which cost about Rs. 1500. He said that the aim of foundation is to provide maximum support and benefit to poor Muslim families so that they can fast and break Iftar like common people rather than taking fast and breaking Iftar without proper meals.
One Iftar Kit contents:1. Rice/Wheat Flour 20 Kgs 2. Sugar 3 Kgs 3. Cooking Oil 2 Kgs 4. Besan (Gram Flour) 2 Kg 5. Dal (Pulses) 2 Kgs 6. Salt 1 Kg 7. Milk Powder 1 Kg 8. Tea Leaves ½ Kg 9. Dates 2 Kgs
