Chennai : Even though the mood is jubiliant amongst Anna Hazare’s supporters here, India Against Corruption (IAC) is working out the next course of the anti-graft campaign, an activist said Sunday.
Hazare supporters distributed sweets to people in the upmarket Adyar area after the activist broke his 12-day fast in Delhi as parliament agreed in-principle to his key demands for a stringent Lokpal bill.
“People from the neighbourhood complexes came in and extended their support,” IAC media coordinator Bhavana Upadhyaya told IANS.
“For us, it is a cautious celebration. The next course of action is to popularise the Lokpal bill amongst villagers,” she said.
Around 20 people here were on a fast in support of Hazare from Aug 16. They ended their fast Aug 26.
