AIUDF gains strengths in West Bengal with merger of State RPI and INL

Kolkata: A few days ago Siddiqullah Chowdhury led People Democratic Conference of India (PDCI) merged with All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) led by Maulana Badruddin Ajmal, now two more parties – Republican Party of India (RPI) and Indian National League (INL) state committees have also joined the AIUDF.

In a meeting at Bengal Theosophical Society Hall, College Street, Kolkata on June 21st , AIUDF formed a State Committee for West Bengal, where PDCI, RPI and INL’s state-level leaders were present. State President of AIUDF Maulana Siddqullah Chowdhury announced the names of the 31 members. Names of state leaders of PDCI, RPI, and INL are in the list.

Along with President of State Committee of AIUDF Maulana Siddqullah Chowdury, RPI leader Sukritiranjan Biswas, INL leader Jamirul Hassan, Educationalist Manisha Banerjee are part of the committee which includes 23 Muslim members and 8 non-muslim members. Along with the President, 6 Vice-president, 3 General Secretary, 4 Secretary, Treasure and 16 general members form the committee.

Also announced the Presidents of 11 District of West Bengal. Sukumar Biswas of North 24 Parganas, Mufti Imdadul Islam of South 24 Parganas, Mufti Ishaque of Nadia, Nur Muhammad of Murshidbad, Pradip Ghosh of Hooghly, Nimai Santra of Howrah, Maulana Moinuddin of Birbhum, Dr. Fazlur Rahman of South Dinajpur, Nazrul Islam of North Dinajpur, Sheik Abdur Razzak of East Medinipur and Abdus Samad Mallick of West Medinipur has been declared as the AIUDF district persidents.

Maulana Siddiqullah Chowdhury said, AIUDF called a meeting on June 30 at the Muslim Institute, Kolkata to discuss the future programme of the AIUDF in West Bengal. They declared an advanced programme in first week of July on deferent issue to submit a memorandum to the District Magistrate of every district in West Bengal.

AIUDF is planning to launch a membership-drive and will recruit 5 lakh member in the state.

More than 100 members were present in this organizational meeting of AIUDF.
