Mumbai : The Indian benchmark market index opened on a positive note Thursday with the help of buying support from mutual funds.
The 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened up 118.26 points at 19,210.22 points, against the previous day’s close at 19,091.96 points.
The broader 50-share S&P CNX Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened up at 5,759.95 points, against the previous day’s close of 5,751.15 points.
Mutual funds have been buying blue-chip stocks in early trades.
