“It should be an occasion to remind ourselves of Lord Krishna’s eternal message of performing one’s duty without any thought of the reward. May the festival bring happiness, peace and prosperity to the people.”

The vice president said the festival is an appropriate occasion to recall the message of Lord Krishna that happiness in life and freedom from bondage can be attained by doing one’s duty efficiently, without being attached to or affected by the eventual result.
