Guwahati : An enraged BSF trooper shot dead two of his colleagues, injured a third and then killed himself Thursday on the India-Bangladesh border in Assam, an official said.
The incident took place at the Hatichar border outpost in Dhubri district around 11 a.m., the Border Security Force said.
The killer trooper, P. Mishra, fired at colleagues S. Kumar of Haryana and Babulal of Uttar Pradesh after an altercation, killing them instantly, a BSF spokesman said. Om Prakash Sahu of Chhattisgarh was injured.
“Sahu received a bullet injury on his left thigh,” the spokesman said. An inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
