Johannesburg: South Africa will host the BRICS urbanisation forum in Durban next month, it was officially announced Friday.
The meeting to be held from Nov 25 -27 will have “Towards Sustainable Urbanisation” as its theme, reported Xinhua citing Durban spokesperson Khaya Sengani.
“The forum will provide a platform for member countries to develop a common approach that will facilitate cooperation and exchange of information on urbanisation challenges,” the spokesperson said.
It will be attended by government leaders, urban development managers, international non-governmental organisations and other important stakeholders from around the world.
