Kabul: Six people were killed and 13 others wounded Wednesday in a bomb attack in Afghanistan’s Logar province, an official said.
“A bomb attached to a bicycle was detonated through a time device near the Afghan Red Crescent office building in provincial capital Pul-e-Alam city. Those killed included two policemen and four civilians,” Xinhua quoted provincial government spokesperson Din Mohammad Darwish as saying.
Two of the injured people sustained life-threatening wounds, the source said, blaming the Taliban for the attack in the province, 60 km south of Afghan capital Kabul.
More than 2,700 Afghan civilians were killed and over 5,000 non-combatants were injured in conflicts and Taliban-led attacks from Jan 1 to Nov 30 this year, according to Afghan and UN Assistance Mission officials
