Jammu : Day long reorientation training Programme in Panchkarama, Yog, Kshyar Sutra was organized by the department of Indian System of Medicine at Government Ayurvedic Hospital here today. An emergency ward was also established at the hospital on the occasion.
Director Indian System of Medicines Dr. Abdul Kabir inaugurated the emergency ward established at the hospital on the occasion.
Addressing the function Dr. Abdul Kabir informed that emergency Unit opened today for public will remain open round the clock to facilitate the patients belonging to entire Jammu division. He urged upon the people to take maximum benefit from Ayurvedic medicare facilities made available at newly setup emergency unit.
Dwelling on the measures being taken by the government to promote ISM across the state, Dr. Kabir said that facilities for patients suffering from various ailments are being augmented at all medical centres at par with allopathic system. He said efforts are afoot to post doctors and Para medical staff as per requirement under this system.
Referring to holding of reorientation training programme, Dr. Kabir said that such programmes help people in knowing the holistic time tested alternative treatment of ISM, which he said has witnessed increasing popularity over the years.
He said such programmes would train doctors and Para-medical staff in latest techniques of the field.
